Faced with the general consensus that rightly or wrongly assumes "my devices are safe now," Mythic's partnership strategy for Norton by Symantec helped frame up a different reality. After securing various category leader brand relationships, Mythic served up Norton-sponsored secure Wi-Fi messaging in public places (beyond the safety of consumers' trusted networks) to remind them of all the risks that are stiil out there. Using this relevant, location-based strategy, Norton achieved greater market penetration and "freemium" conversion.
